Help for the message menu? Ok, ok.
(R)ead Read a message in the current area. Required skills: The
ability to read.
(NOTE: The usual system for reading is to read NEW messages,
so if you hit RNY it will (R)ead (N)ew messages, pausing
between each for you to see what they say.)
(P)ost This leaves a message in the current message area. Required
skills: The ability to write.
(S)elect This chooses areas for multi-area read. The way it works is
if you want to read several message areas at once, but don't
want to real ALL the areas, or keep changing areas, you use
this to select what areas you like, and then...
(A)rea read Use this command to read those areas you have selected.
(Y)our mail This is to do a recheck of what mail is waiting addressed to
you that you have not yet read. Handy if you skipped your
mail at login, or have new mail from someone on node 2.
(C)hange area This one simply lists all the message areas (such as they are)
and lets you choose which one to read from/post to.
(=)Feedback As on all menus, this one leaves a private message to your
freindly neighborhood sysop.
(H)ELP! Again, if this one has to be explained, find another board.
(!)Private This is used to send a private message to any user on the
system. Exact spelling is required, if you don't know the
spelling go to (E)tc and view the userlist for the exact name.
(.)unused It is, as it says, unused. May be used later, maybe not.
There. Message base help. Hope it does help, because it is the best I am
going to do. I am lazy and sick of writing help screens.
